Principal

I hope all mums had a wonderful Mother's Day and were spoilt by your children. Thank you to the P&F for running the mothers day stall which I am sure all mums appreciated on Mother's Day when they received an amazing gift from their child. Thank you as well to the ADHOC Fathering group and their children for handing out tulips on Friday morning, it certainly brightened the morning for many of our mothers.

Code of conduct

Our school Code of conduct has now been in place for nearly 6 months.  This Code applies to all staff, parents, students, volunteers and visitors. The code is in place to guide all behaviour and decision making to ensure the safety and well-being of students.  A copy can be located on the school website at http://web.olgc.wa.edu.au/policies

Gramma and Punctuation

Yesterday teachers from OLGC visited St John's Primary School along with teachers from Holy Spirit Primary School. This was a wonderful opportunity for staff to meet in year group clusters and engage in discussions about grammar and punctuation and share ideas and strategies. The three schools meet on a regular basis to enable staff to engage in meaningful professional learning.

Canteen

Lawley's Bakery has been doing a wonderful job providing our children with delicious food. Due to approximately only 3 recess orders being ordered each canteen day we will no longer be offering recess as of the 29th May. Could you please use the link below to provide feedback regarding the canteen.

Newman College Peter Pan

Last week Year 3 attended the Newman college production of Peter Pan. The children greatly enjoyed the production. It was wonderful to see many of our past students in the show demonstrating their amazing talents. Please see the link below for more information about the day including photos.

School Uniform

Thank you to parents for ensuring that your child is wearing the correct winter uniform. It has been pleasing to see our students wear their school uniform so proudly both at school and in the local community.

God Bless
