Parents and Caregivers are encouraged to help at Our Lady of Good Counsel. It is best to talk to your teacher directly to discuss the best times for classroom help.
Parents of the Kindergarten and Pre Primary classes are asked to place their names on rosters for regular help. You will often be asked to attend class excursions and help out in classrooms with the literacy and numeracy blocks or perhaps with art activities and sports lessons. The librarian appreciates help with book covering and other needs specific to that area. Our canteen operates every Monday and Friday and help is also gratefully appreciated from parents there.
Always read the newsletter carefully as we often call on the assistance of parents at special events (especially sporting carnivals) for our school. Also, if you feel you have special skills and/or resources to offer OLGC please let it be known to the principal or class teacher.
