OLGC has an effectively functioning School Board that meets once a month, generally on the 4th Tuesday. Members are elected on a two year term and may remain on the Board for as long as 6 years, at which time they are required to retire. School Boards in Catholic schools within WA are responsible for overseeing the finances of the school. It is the Board’s main purpose for being. The Board members are also able to provide the principal with advice, when and where required, drawn from the expertise in their professional fields and life in general. A productive School Board Finance Sub Committee meets once a month consisting of the treasurer, school Bursar and the principal. The Board Chair is also automatically a member of this committee.
